ABOUT MODELLING
Child modelling can be extremely rewarding for both the child and the parent. The income that can be earned cannot be dismissed, as a child can earn anything from the minimum hourly rate, right up to thousands of pounds for just a days work. Although the financial gain should not be ignored, the opportunity to travel, meet new and interesting people, coupled with the satisfaction of seeing your child on TV, in a magazine, on a leaflet or on a billboard, can often far outweigh any fee that can be earned. Modelling can be extremely exciting and great fun, but it should always be remembered that it is to be the child’s profession, so should be approached professionally.
Clients approach Bizzykidz every day with wide and varied requests for all types of children. Children, therefore, do not need to be the typical model type child, but do need to be able to take on the task in hand i.e. take direction, enjoy what they are doing and get on with other children, adults and strangers, with the emphasis being upon the child enjoying what they are doing!
If you think your child would be a suitable candidate for our agency, they could soon be an addition to our portfolio and possibly be the next child appearing in Angelina Ballerina Magazine, in-store posters in The White Company stores, or even appearing worldwide on the next Pampers commercial.
We are currently looking for suitable children, of all types and personalities. Applications can be sent by post, or by using our on-line application facility – To apply see How To Join on the home page.
Please go to CLIENT LIST on our home page to see a list of our clients.
The agency will deduct 20% commission on all monies invoiced by us; this is our agency fee. We only issue payment upon receipt of client's payments. We must inform you that some clients take up to 6 months to settle their accounts, however invoices from BIZZYKIDZ ask for a 30 day payment and the majority of clients will settle within that time. Our business operation is very simple... we receive a request from the client for a specific assignment, together with audition and venue details. We submit a child, or selection of children that meet the criteria. Upon confirmation from the client, we then call that child's parent/guardian with this information and confirm their attendance. We will tell you of any particular dress code that has been stipulated, which company the casting is for and the exact times and dates for when you will be required for the shoot should your child be successful. You need do nothing more, but ensure your updates are made as per the Agency's Terms, dependant upon your child's age. The selection for any part is not made by BIZZYKIDZ it is always made by the Casting Director. Our duty as an agency is to provide suitable children who fit the specifications given to us by the client.
NB: Castings and shoots for school age children are normally arranged outside of school hours, however, on the unavoidable occasions where they do fall within schooling hours, the client will obtain a licence from your local Education Authority to give authorisation to work.
PLEASE ADHERE TO THESE SIMPLE RULES!
- It is VERY IMPORTANT that you arrive at jobs and castings ON TIME.
- Always try to limit the number of companions that you take with you to a shoot. It is not really acceptable for other members of the family to attend. Please remember studios only have a limited amount of space and too many extra people get in the way. One adult to each child is ideal.
- If your child is ill and cannot make it to a casting or job you MUST let us know immediately. Our answering machine is on all the time the office is unattended and there is an emergency telephone number for your convenience should it be necessary to speak to us in person.
- Please make sure children arrive looking good with clean hair and clothes.
- Always inform us of the following: Holiday dates, Exam times, New sizes/heights, New shoe sizes, New hair cuts, Braces on teeth, Information regarding babies development or anything you may feel is relevant to us.
- Call us after every job with times worked as most bookings are open-ended (excluding castings of course) and ensure that you always complete the release form / time sheet that will be issued to you that day.
- Take snacks/drinks/food along for your child. Do not rely on clients to feed you on jobs although most of them do if you are booked all day. Clients cannot be expected to supply food for kids/chaperones with special dietary needs.
- Please take along books/games etc. to keep your child occupied. There may be long gaps between shots and they could become bored.
- Please remember it is each parent's responsibility to look after his or hers child at a shoot. It is also their responsibility to ensure that they behave themselves properly as poor conduct could result in the loss of future contracts for our company.
- Bizzykidz reserves the right to remove any child from the site. Bizzykidz are renowned in the industry for displaying highly accurate details of all of their children. It is the parents' responsibility to ensure that the agency are provided with up-to-date details, including photographs of their child and current height, in order that we are not in breach of this policy to our clients. An administration fee will be applicable for those wishing to be replaced after having been removed for this reason. Poor or rude conduct displayed by any parent towards any client, other child/parent at audition, or agency staff member, would also fall within this 'right to remove' category. The agencies decision is final.
- Should any child be forwarded for work with BIZZYKIDZ before a parent has decided to proceed with joining the agency, work which is then accepted and attended, BIZZYKIDZ reserves the right to claim any fees earned by that child in the event that the parent then decides not to proceed with joining.
