How much is an artist paid?

A child model can be paid anything from £50 per hour up to £300 per day. This would be dependant on their age. Adult rates are usually higher.

Commercial (TV work) is normally £180 per day plus usage for children and £250 per day plus usage for adults.

Background artists can be paid between £60-£100 per day.

REMEMBER TO USE THE ABOVE AS A GUIDE. NEGOTIATION IS AT AN AGENCIES DISCRETION AND WILL VARY FROM ONE ASSIGNMENT TO ANOTHER.

The agency will deduct their commission on all monies invoiced by them; this is the agency fee. An agency will only issue payment upon receipt of client's payments and some clients take up to 3 months to settle their accounts.

An artist/parent should always check their agencies terms and conditions regarding payment. There is a legal requirement for agencies to pay within 7 days after being paid by their client.
