In a nutshell we are one of the UK's longest standing and leading agency's, it's as simple as that!
For over almost 30 years, Bizzy Agency has been the premier agency in the UK. We are a full service agency representing adults and children for TV commercials, feature films, music videos, stage roles, television, voice-overs, photographic modelling and background roles.
When we opened our doors for the first time back in 1996, Bizzy Agency was a small family run boutique London agency with only a handful of talented kids on the books. In the three decades since, we’ve been lucky enough to represent a huge amount of babies, kids, teens and adults helping them land work with some of the UK's most famous brands and productions companies. The Bizzy Agency is still a fully family owned agency and is now one of the longest running and most prestigious agencies around. Thanks to the consistent quality of artists and models, the Bizzy Agency has become a destination for clients from all areas of the industry.
We celebrate diversity here at our multi-award winning agency as there is a constant demand for a variety of talented individuals. We represent artists from newborns to adults of all shapes, sizes, ethnicities, skills and abilities to meet our clients needs.
Client demand helped us grow into what has now become one of the busiest out there leading to us now having divisions catering for clients across the whole of the UK.
Always keen to break new ground, we’re continuously improving the way that clients find talent and how we promote the talented artists on our books.
From in-house workshops, Zoom meet & greets to professional portfolios, we’re always raising the standards for talent agencies everywhere.
We have several divisions with a no-fee joining policy, while our main Featured Artist & Babies Divisions both offer monthly subscriptions and welcome all new members to the family as part of our family.
Following the COVID-19 pandemic SJB Management arrived as a breath of fresh air and now manage our artists whilst accommodating the new requirements that the industry and clients expect from agencies.
We have become the industry's preferred agency when selecting artists for work and all because of our application and assessment process. In 2016, we featured in a 4 part TV series following our agency (solely), kids and parents over a 12 month period. The show went on to air in Europe & then Australia...so we went global! Our show The Tiny Tots Talent Agency was even nominated for a TV Choice Award 2016. It really doesn't get much better than that, but we topped it off with being a finalist in the Bexley Business Awards in the summer AND ended the year as WINNERS of The Entertainment Awards 2016 for Best Child Talent & Model Agency - UK!
2017 began with us winning Corporate Vision Magazine's 2017 Global Excellence Award for 'Most Outstanding Child Talent & Model Agency'. We were then crowned winners of the 'Best Agency Child Agency' category for the Global Business Insight Awards in 2018 and 2019. We were also crowned national winners of the Prestige Awards 2020/21 after winning another 5 Best Child Model Agency awards.
In recognition of our continued efforts we are current winners of 'Southern Enterprise Awards - Best Child Talent & Model Agency 2021/22.
We have divisions covering Ireland, Scotland, Wales, North, Midlands, South & South East and West Country.
Each area division has its own separate departments; We manage child and adult Influencers, Supporting Artists, models, actors, singers & dancers aged 4-70yrs, have a dedicated Baby Division, and our Bizzy Angels department represents kids with disabilities. and all are booming!
We pride ourselves on being one of the most diverse agencies in the UK.
We are not affiliated to any other companies and especially not those model platform companies offering expensive portfolios and exploiting this industry!
We represent artists of all ages and abilities.
We have several divisions, all tailored to different needs. Our Background/Extras Artists division caters for those with less experience, or those wanting only basic background/extra work, our Featured Artists division for those with more experience or newbies with oodles of confidence, Photographic Models Division which is exactly what it says on the tin and our dedicated Babies Division for newborns up to 4yrs of age. All divisions require a zoom meeting for over 7yr olds to assess their character and ability level (where age applicable).
All Divisions: You will need to submit an application using our 'Apply To Join' page and select your preferred division. You can only register with one, but can upgrade to Featured Artist upon approval. We do not accept postal applications. Our division books open at different times of the year.
If we do not have a place you will be declined; we respond to all applications.
If we are interested, one of our team will contact you via email, or phone initially and within a couple of days. You may be accepted based on your application, or invited to self tape so we can explore further. All new Featured Artists over 7yrs of age should meet with one of our Bizzy coaches via Zoom for an informal introductory 'hello' and so we can assess their confidence and character. The Zoom should not be considered an 'interview' as we understand that children, especially, have a range of abilities and confidence levels and the younger ones change rapidly! We merely need to meet and take note of their character, abilities where applicable and meet the parent face to face to make it more personable. This helps us with submissions to clients for work. Once the Zoom is booked your profile is activated for access and fully activated once registration is fully completed. All minors must be accompanied by a parent/guardian, under 7's do not require a Zoom.
We receive a large amount of applications daily, so are unable to offer artists a good enough chance of securing auditions and bookings if we are not selective. Our clients always expect to only receive prime candidates from us, so our initial assessment process has to be thorough. For these reasons we can only hold a certain amount of 'looks' for each age group. If you are not accepted first time please give it a few months before trying again as our circumstances may change. A booker will notify our applications department if an availability for any particular look, area etc is needed for her portfolio of artists which she offers clients. We then assess your application and will offer a place if we have a space.
If an applicant is deemed to not be confident enough following their meeting then we will offer them a position in one of our other more suited divisions (subject to availability).
If we like the look of an applicant, and have a space available on our books, then they will be contacted by an agency booker/director with details on how to proceed. We are not a sole rep agency, however, any artist securing a major role will be contracted under a sole rep agreement with Bizzy Agency and if not already a Featured Artist then will be immediately upgraded.
BACKGROUND ARTISTS- Must live within 1.5 MILES of the major cities listed on our application form. Our books are currently closed for this division.
You do 'NOT' require an expensive portfolio to apply to any agency. Snapshots are fine so beware of companies claiming to 'help' or 'prepare' you for this industry. You do NOT need a portfolio to apply to any agency!
We sometimes receive in excess of 10 calls a day from parents & models who have paid hundreds and sometimes thousands of pounds for completely useless portfolios, websites, z-cards etc. Companies who provide such things are NOT agencies and parents should be aware that any 'reputable' agency will consider applications with snapshots and actually prefer them as they would be natural, current and not edited.
Any agency that does not want to meet a potential actor (Featured Artist) to gauge their confidence should be avoided as clients insist only those 'capable' of the task be sent. An agency cannot know an artist well enough to send to a client with confidence unless they have met and are familiar with them. This would not be relevant for under 7yr olds. No agency will allow an artist to present their own z-card to their client, nor supply, or use their own website to their clients. Our blog page shows the details of the BBC Rogue Traders TV show, which will help you understand what is 'not' required before applying to a reputable agency.
Models & Featured Artists require a good set of professional images to be submitted to clients and you can use your own studio of choice. Our director, Sadie, holds a shoot monthly in Kent for those wishing to use this service. Supporting Artists & under 4yr olds do not need portfolios, good snapshots are fine! We do recommend our Featured Artists use professional photos to help improve chances of selection. Again, these can be your own or taken at a studio of your own choice, or by our director, Sadie, who holds a monthly shoot in Kent.
No. We decline many applications daily to ensure we only have the right artists on our books. If we are unsure, we will invite an applicant to self tape. We like to hold 4-5 of each 'type' and age in all areas we serve, to allow a good choice for our clients. Our books close when we do not have availability, they open when we do. Our books are open all-year-round for babies and toddlers due to our client demand and the rate they grow. We have a huge amount of clients, so need a healthy portfolio of artists to offer for work. However, we must ensure we only take on those we feel will have a look that we feel will appeal to our client base and that we strongly feel will be an asset to our agency portfolio. This ensures that we have only the best artists on our books to offer our clients.
We receive a huge amount of applicants via our Featured Artist Division and those 7yrs+ who are successful are invited to meet with their booker via Zoom. We are an extremely busy agency securing work for our artists, so it would prove impossible for a booker to invite everyone to meet them and also carry out her regular agency duties. As we limit our numbers, the agency will decline most applicants due to space on our books. Our philosophy is to only accept an applicant who we feel would make a fantastic addition to our agency portfolio. Younger one's change rapidly so for this reason under 7's do not need to attend the zoom.
Bizzy Agency does not charge an upfront fee for Background Artists, or Models and only a nominal book fee for the Featured Artists & dedicated Baby Divisions. These are paid in 2 instalments and include the Zoom meeting for over 7yr olds with your Bizzy Coach. 6-monthly representation is also available.
Bizzy children are cute, unique, have a great personality and a temperament to cope with the varying demands of this industry.
Bizzy adults are reliable, experienced, eager & committed.
Applicants should be aware that, despite ill-informed gossip, all the successful and reputable agencies will charge something to be on their books. It is illegal for model agencies to charge an upfront fee, but not talent agencies; who are permitted to charge for website inclusion in line with BERR regulations. We supply children & adults for all areas of the industry and are a Talent Agency supplying kids & adults for photographic work also, at no extra charge. Agencies will usually also charge yearly or 2-yearly fees for their website inclusion. Some will accept from images alone and never meet their artists and some will invite you in to meet them and charge extortionate fees for photography. All agencies operate in their own unique way and so it can be very confusing.
Our 'model only' and 'background artists' divisions do not charge an upfront fee. £50 is taken from the first secured job.
There is a nominal 6-monthly, yearly, or 2-yearly fee to become a 'Featured Artist', or to join our dedicated 'Baby Division'.
Sorry, we only accept applications using our online form on the Join Us page. Just ensure you upload small images and they will transfer.
If you still struggle then please email support@bizzykidzagency.com for assistance, or advice.
We cannot consider an application by email and will direct you to the application page if you email us an application.
There are no fees to start out with our agency if you begin as a supporting artist, or as only a photographic model.
A nominal 6-monthly, yearly, or 2-yearly Book Fee is applicable if you upgrade to, or join our Featured Artist, or our dedicated Baby Divisions.
Any artist on less than a 12-mth contract securing an assignment which includes usage as part of the payment will automatically be signed for 12 months with the agency and the yearly fee deducted from the assignment fee due.
These divisions do not charge for mere representation, but artists are asked to cover their own expenses for website fees; standard with all the major child agencies and because of the flow of work and what is involved in those departments.
Our Featured Artist fee includes an online Zoom meeting for all over 7yr olds; This option is not available to our other Model, Background Artist, or under 7yr olds.
We offer 3 options for joining: This will cover inclusion on our website, IT work, submissions and administration and is not a representation fee. It also includes an intro zoom meeting upon joining for 7yrs+.
i) 6mth contract - £45 book fee applies, paid in 2 installments; £35 to book your zoom, £10 to complete set up after your zoom.
ii) 1yr contract - £80 book fee applies - paid in 2 installments; £35 to book your zoom, £45 to complete set up after your zoom.
iii) 2yr contract - £155 book fee applies - paid in 2 installments; £35 to book your zoom, £120 to complete set up after your zoom.
Our 1yr & 2yr contracted artists should ideally be registered with Spotlight, we can supply an agency invite to that service if needed.
Under 7yr olds do not need to book a zoom, the full contract payment is applicable at the point of joining.
Those not wanting to pay a fee should apply to join one of our other free divisions when our books are open. Please see our social media for notifications on opening dates.
This is in compliance with BERR regulations.
Background Artists - Our commission rate is 15%
All other divisions - Our commission rate is 30% for all photographic & commercial work, 30% for all usages/buyouts and any all in quoted fees and 20% for fittings, theatre & stage and invoices totalling £100 or less.
Bizzy Agency are a non sole rep agency, where you can register with more than one agency; we just ask that you notify us of any other agency you're registered with as a courtesy measure. We will automatically contract all artists on an exclusive basis if confirmed for a major campaign, or role. Signing with more than 2 agencies can become problematic, so bear that in mind and we ask that you list your unavailability dates on your profile to help us remain professional with our clients. Many clients will reject submissions from agencies for artists registered with 'multiple' agencies, so please be aware of this when joining more than two agencies. You must also ensure you list any work achieved and any other agencies you are registered on your profile to avoid licencing issues and/or conflicting work (see terms). The agency cannot take responsibility for a client rejecting a submission when registered with more than one other agency.
The amount of work an artist is booked for would depend on many factors. It is important to understand it is the client and not the agency who chooses the models & talent for their campaigns. No agency can therefore guarantee work and any who do should be avoided.
Some artists are booked regularly, some occasionally, whilst others may not be so lucky. We do however have an extremely high percentage of our children & adults out daily on shoots and auditions and can guarantee that we submit all those to clients when they are suitable and match the brief. We also ensure professional, ethical representation at all times and 24-7 dedication to our artists and clients.
We typically receive over 30-50 briefs a day (including weekends!), sometimes more! So as long as you have up to date photos and sizes you will be seen by our clients. We want our children & adults working as much as they do, that is where we earn our money!
Whilst we will always put you forward for castings for which you are suitable, selection and booking are at the sole discretion of the production team and cannot be influenced or guaranteed by ourselves.
All jobs are different and earnings will depend on the client, campaign and how much, how long and where the campaign is featured.
Average rates are below:
Background/Extras Artists - £60-£100 per day
TV Commercial - £180 day rate
Film & TV - £100 (extra) - £150 (day rate)
Photographic - £55-£95 per hour minimum
Additional usage applies to tv commercial and some photographic work £560-£28,000, depending on territory and time.
The above rates are a guide; the agency will always negotiate for the best rate for an artist and to secure the job. The more the artist earns, then the more the agency does! A TV contract we recently secured for one of our artists involved an $11,000 US per series salary. All jobs are different!
Our agency commissions are:
30% for photographic & commercial work, 25% for fittings and 20% for stage and theatre or invoices totalling less than £100.
Background/Extras Artists commission is 15%.
Commission is not applied to travel costs when not part of an all inclusive fee and invoice.
You are not normally able to claim travel back from castings or shoots. If you do a shoot outside reasonable travel distance to your area then we can claim travel. For any television work the chaperone would get a day rate of between £70-£100. This can sometimes be a part of an all inclusive fee combing shoot, chaperone & travel. Work secured abroad is always covered for travel and accommodation, rest days and work days. It should be remembered that nowadays castings are normally conducted by self tape or zoom, removing the need to travel and with no cost incurred to the artist.
Background Artists are not reimbursed travel, hence the need to be located within 1.5 hours travel distance to our required locations.
Most auditions are between 4-7pm for school age children and during the day for those younger. Adult auditions will be at any time. Assignments will mostly be during the day so time out of school may be necessary for children. It is a professional working industry and our clients shoot times reflect that.
Most of these bookings come in with very short notice, usually the next day. Being available to attend will obviously increase an artist's chances of success with us.
Having said that, most auditions are now held by self tape (video), or online, without the need for live attendance.
We would love it if you can make every audition but do realise that parents/artists have work and other commitments of their own. We provide a calendar for Featured Artists, Models & Babies, to inform us of holiday dates, or other general unavailability. If you cannot make it after you have confirmed, you must let us know. This will allow us to replace your with another and give someone else the opportunity whilst not letting our client down.
The agency and client needs to get school permission for shoots held during school hours. Most schools are aware of how the industry is and a performers licence is obtained from your local education department which works with your school.
Unless you land a permanent role in a feature film, TV show, or stage production, it will just be the odd day here and there. For permanent roles and touring, private education is always provided. Our bookers handle all licencing on your behalf with the client when the occasion arises.
The agency/client handles all licence applications on your behalf.
We cannot consider incomplete applications, or those with incorrect information.
We can only consider those who are permanent UK residents.
We are primarily a talent agency and submit our talent for model work too, not the other way around!
You are welcome to apply without training, or experience where applicable.
You can apply using snapshots. Just ensure they are clear, in colour and there is nothing obscuring the head or face.
Whatever our decision, we will respond and provide useful information to those who are not successful.
This choice is really up to you, but you can only choose 1 division.
Under 4's should select the Babies Division. If they have a 4th birthday whilst with us they are upgraded automatically to featured artist. Snapshots permitted.
Over 4's wanting to be considered for work in the commercial side of the industry i.e. TV, Commercials, Film, Music Videos, Theatre etc. should select Featured Artist Division. This option also includes Photographic Model & Supporting Artist work and many additional extras to assist promotion.
Professional images required (studio services available to all registered with Bizzy Agency).
Over 4's who are perhaps less confident, new to the industry, or just want only basic extra & background work should select Background Artist Division. Snapshots permitted.
Over 4's only wanting to be considered for only photographic work should select Model Division. Professional images required (studio services available).
Over 4's registered with our Background Artist, or Model Divisions are able to upgrade to Featured Artist mid-term with referral from their booker.
There is no difference between our 6mth, 1yr, or 2yr contract options, other than duration of representation. 1yr & 2yr contracted artists should ideally be registered with Spotlight and we can supply an agency invitation where needed.
